Meet Jennifer Fitzgerald, the Sr.Director of Beverage Operations for Kings Bowl America
Born and raised in Michigan, Jennifer came to Kings with over 15 years’ experience in the industry. Prior to joining the Kings team, Jennifer was most notably Bar Louie’s Beverage Manager in Michigan before relocating to Patriot’s Place in Foxboro, Massachusetts where she was brought on to develop and train the team in the company’s highest grossing location.
Looking for a new challenge, Jennifer joined the Kings team as a bartender in Kings’ second (and at the time newest) location in Dedham, MA. Her goal was to grow within a company that focused on development, passion for the craft and advanced career opportunities. Quickly embracing the culture and bar program Jen excelled from day one and before long she was taking lead as Bar Manager in her store, supporting the inventory process, training and developing as well as bar maintenance and brand standards.
Continuing to grow and take on more responsibility, Jennifer took big leap and stepped out from behind the bar and assumed the role of Senior Floor Manager learning the day to day operations of running a full venue. Jen was still supporting the bars and the beverage program for the company while developing new drinks, solidifying training and helping to craft and maintain the company beverage standards. When the opportunity arose, Jennifer was offered to open Kings’ eighth location in Burlington as the Assistant General Manager, continuing to grow into the senior leadership team for the company. Jen continued in that role for two years as she learned the in’s and outs of operations at Kings and saw the bar and beverage program from a different perspective.
Simultaneously, Jennifer had been part of Kings’ opening team for multiple new locations. With each new opening presenting its own challenges, she masterfully streamlined and created systems to ensure each opening was smoother than the last.
Today, Jennifer has risen further to the ranks of Director of Beverage Operations. In her role, Jennifer created the role of Beverage Manager in each location to spearhead the operations of their beverage program. Jennifer worked on new ways to support and create tools for the teams to help measure, train and empower the bar team and the future leaders of the company.
Jennifer’s primary focus is on beverage R&D always looking to evolve the Kings beverage program to a more dynamic and progressive program by offering creative cocktails and a thoughtful and expansive beer list companywide.
The respect Jennifer has gained from her peers and the teams she’s worked with throughout the company, comes from her ability to see past the day to day challenges of the industry. Her ability to see the best in someone and nurture their growth is one of the many reason Kings has some of the most dedicated and committed team in the industry.
Beyond traveling around the country overseeing the Beverage Program for the entire company, Jennifer is an avid Star Wars fan who jumps at the opportunity to talk about it with anyone who brings it up. Jennifer’s newest hobby is raising her newborn daughter Avery Marie with Fiancé Shawn! When you can’t find her at Kings, you’ll find her spending time with her family and her Boston Terrier, Jack.
With 10 locations in 5 states and over 600 bar seats companywide and many more planned for the future, Jen has the very important job of leading the Kings team of “Liquid Architect’s” to create and deliver delicious beverages to the guests who frequent Kings each year!
