Meet Katherine Kecy - Sr. Executive Finance & Culture Coordinator

Kathy Kecy grew up in Portsmouth, NH, the youngest of 4 children and born into a family of talented musicians and artists.  She enjoyed music herself, starting a few bands and playing keyboards.  Kathy studied Business Administration and Paralegal Studies at college before starting her professional career in the business world shortly thereafter.  She’s had varied and impressive experience in her career including owning her own laser engraving company for over 8 years and working in finance with Cintas Document Management for 10 years.

When she’s not at Kings, Kathy enjoys spending time with her daughters, walking on the beach with her French Bulldog “Moo”, listening to live bands, playing keyboards, reading, baking and swimming.  When she’s not on land, you can find her flying beside her brother in his airplane.

Kathy’s journey with Kings began in 2015 as an AP supervisor for the company.   Kathy has not only helped to improve organization in the AP role but has helped to establish great vendor relationships by improving the overall communication process between the locations and the vendors.  Kathy works on programs well beyond AP that include purchasing and other finance administration processes that support the General Managers and Directors in the company.

Kathy has excelled in her position and showed a mastery for her AP responsibilities, and has raised her hand and asked to learn more and get involved in more.  With a passion for service, she began working with the marketing team and has since been a major supporter and developer of the Kings Cares™ program that drives Kings’ commitment to support its surrounding communities through charitable contributions.  In her expanded role, Kathy helps to organize fundraisers with the many Kings Cares™ “Purple Crown” Leaders in the company.  She also heads up the department by working with General Managers on the Kings charitable, in-kind donation and award programs that assist outstanding charitable organizations in reaching their fundraising goals.

Kathy also works on the “Kings Fun Club”, Kings Website maintenance and several other PR initiatives that support the marketing and operations team.

Always showing genuine care for her co-workers, Kathy organizes internal and external functions for the many members of the Kings team and never misses a birthday or a chance to celebrate a holiday in the Kings headquarters.   Her thoughtful planning and execution always provide an amazing team-building experience and morale boost that brings fresh life to Kings leadership.  Among her greatest feats in this area was helping to coordinate the 2018 Senior Leadership Seminar for over 30 members of the Senior Leadership, Executive and General Management Team.

Given her myriad responsibilities and achievements, Kathy’s position evolved in early 2018 from AP Supervisor to Senior Finance & Culture Coordinator.  Kathy has been such a huge part of the culture of Kings and a constant reminder for our hardworking leaders to connect, reflect and take “joy” in the process of growth.  Kathy’s positive spirit, enthusiastic attitude, and team-oriented outlook have had a sizeable impact on those around her and the culture of Kings.   Kathy is a vital part of the Senior Leadership Team and a constant reminder of positive growth, energy, and passion….her journey is just getting started.

To be continued...because our team’s stories are always growing!
